Classes

NDIS Cooking Classes

Keen to master a cake, steak or your favourite pasta bake? We can help! If you want to build your confidence in the kitchen (or know someone who does), we offer one-on-one cooking classes for individuals receiving NDIS.

Whipped Up! is primarily an NDIS business, able to take on participants under Core and Capacity support categories, as long as you are Plan or Self Managed. We provide in-home classes and meal preparation, and our sessions are fully customisable according to your needs.

So, whether you’re after assistance with grocery shopping, only want to do a portion of the cooking due to individual limitations or are intent on being fully hands-on, we can create a lesson plan to suit you.

Classes are fun, interactive and relaxed, and you’re invited to tell us which recipes you’d like to cook during the session.

Currently, we offer one-on-one classes across all of metro Melbourne and some of metro Adelaide!

Sessions must be a minimum of two hours and can be booked weekly or fortnightly. As we travel to each participant, we charge an additional travel fee based on the distance from our head office to your home (to a maximum of 30 minutes). Groceries are also charged separately, as NDIS funding will not cover these costs. We highly encourage clients shop for themselves where possible, or book extra time so that we can take you to the grocery store as part of your session.

If you’d like to book a regular class for yourself or an NDIS participant in your life, or if you simply want more info, please click the button below to complete our form and we’ll be in touch.

We are still very new to offering MyAgedCare services, so please check with your individual case manager to see if your support package allows you to book Whipped Up.

We offer one-on-one cooking classes as well as in-home fresh meal prep services through MyAgedCare.

Our waitlist is currently catered primarily to the NDIS market, so please let us know if you are MyAgedCare and your case manager details in the form.

MyAgedCare Cooking Classes

Yes, some MyAgedCare participants can now access Whipped Up support services!

Adults Cooking Classes

Whether it be a cooking class for a hens or bucks night, an adult birthday or corporate party, we’ve got you covered!

So many events and venues only cater to big groups. Well stuff that! Sometimes you don’t have 50 people to fill a room, nor the desire to find those kinds of numbers. We host small group cooking parties that are perfect for small businesses or intimate groups of friends.

Start your evening (or morning…) with a cooking masterclass or a team cook-off, hosted by Whipped Up. We promise to provide hours of delicious fun and the best part is: we do all the cleaning up at the end!

Choose from pasta, dumplings, tacos (with from-scratch tortillas), croquembouche or make a request (we can probably fulfill it!) and we’ll bring all the ingredients and specialist equipment to create the tastiest event you’ve ever attended! We can even start the class with a couple of fun cocktail recipes on request (please note: we are not licensed and you will have to provide the alcohol separately).

We love being invited into your home or workplace, but we also have a list of trusted venues across Melbourne that we can hire for larger groups. Let us know when you book which you’d prefer.

Is your child addicted to Nailed It? Invested in Crime Scene Kitchen? Perhaps they’re a budding Masterchef! We would love to make their favourite television cooking show a reality!

We love cooking competitions here at Whipped Up and we have taken inspiration from our favourite aspects of those shows to deliver a range of truly outstanding birthday party offerings. Choose from below or contact us today about your wild idea – we’d love to help make it a reality!

Mystery Box (max: 10 guests)
We organise a box of your child’s favourite ingredients, and a few staples too, and encourage the party attendees to come up with a delicious creation from what they find inside, assisted by us.

Nailed It! (max: 20 guests)
We create a “Hero cake” to be unveiled on the day and give the party attendees all the tools and an hour to recreate our design on pre-baked cakes. Sounds simple? Not at all! Just like the TV show, we set up sabotages to cause just a little bit of chaos to interrupt their cake decorating.

Kitchen Cluedo (max: 10 guests)
We organise a series of clues that the party attendees must solve to recreate the dish that was cooked earlier in our Cluedo kitchen. This party is best suited to teenagers, as we can assist with the cooking, but not with the clue solving!

Masterclass (max: 15 guests)
Don’t want a competitive birthday party? That’s ok! From pizzas to dumplings to cupcakes and more, we love sharing our favourite tricks and tips to creating delicious food! We work with you and your friends to help create a tasty treat for you to enjoy with your friends.

Catering
Whipped Up can provide catering in addition to any of the events above. We can also provide gorgeous birthday cupcakes, but do not offer tiered decorated cakes – we recommend finding a professional cake decorator for this!

School Incursions

Across the team, we speak 10+ languages, making Whipped Up the ideal school incursion for LOTE departments wanting to add a little bit of delicious culture to their classes.

One of the greatest ways to encourage language in school children is to get them excited about the culture that language belongs to… and everyone’s favourite part of any culture? Food. That’s where we come in. We bring portable equipment and a simple recipe to get your year five and six students excited about the language they’re learning through food!

We collaborate with your LOTE department to ensure everything we share is in line with their curriculum plan, including memorising their vocab list. At least one Whipped Up staff member in attendance will speak that language confidently and encourage the students to only use their language skills when communicating about the recipe.

We have loved hosting a crepe day at an inner city Melbourne primary school for year six French students annually for the last three years and are excited to now offer it to more schools.

Currently we offer this program the following languages: French, Spanish, Greek, Mandarin and Cantonese. All Whipped Up employees have current working with children checks and police checks, which can be provided to schools upon request, as can a written letter of recommendation from the school mentioned above. We also understand that schools have limited budgets and we aim to stick to a $12 maximum per head cost for these incursions.
